Coronavirus Policy

At Tim Pain Podiatry your safety is important to us. Many of our patients would notice many of the changes that we have already put in place recently in response the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We continue to monitor the situation and will make further changes to the way that we do things to keep everyone safe as the outbreak evolves. Our procedures are based on the Communicable Diseases Network Australia, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) National Guidelines which we review regularly.

We ask that our patients work with us to help keep everyone safe by:

  1. Remaining in your vehicle or outside the practice until 5 minutes prior to your appointment, when practical to do so. We have ample onsite parking available, and this will assist in providing greater social distancing everyone.
  2. Do not bring Companions to your appointment unless necessary. Unless you require an adult or a Carer for assistance we ask that family members and friends remain outside or in your vehicle.
  3. When waiting in the waiting room please take a seat in the seat furthest from other people who may be waiting.
  4. Use the hand sanitizer provided in the Practice on entering and on leaving the practice.
  5. If you have cold or flu symptoms please telephone to reschedule your appointment. We ask that you do not attend the practice when symptomatic.
  6. If you have come into Close Contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus in the last 14 days, we ask that you do not attend Tim Pain Podiatry.
  7. If you are currently undergoing testing for COVID-19, please do not attend Tim Pain Podiatry.
  8. Practice good cough and sneezing etiquette.

Things that we have already done:

  1. Reconfigured our waiting room to provide 1.5 m between seating and removed all unnecessary surfaces such as magazines, toys, tables and displays.
  2. Reconfigured our work spaces so that no staff share working space.
  3. More regular cleaning of hard surfaces throughout the day including, waiting chairs, benchtops, door handles, etc.
  4. Provision of Hand Sanitizer for patients.
  5. Better ventilation by opening more windows and running all fans at a higher speed. We realize this is not the most energy efficient approach as we head into the cooler months but we believe the health benefits of greater ventilation outweigh the expense of more heating.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your support in helping reduce the COVID-19 outbreak.
